If you are yet to see Cosmic Gate perform live, then you are yet to be part of a crowd singing “Falling Back” in perfect harmony. Individually, I’m pretty confident I sound terrible singing that song, but as a group, even as small as a couple of hundred as it was for me at Global Gathering 2014, together you can sing that song perfectly.
That experience just got even better with Mark Sixma’s remix. Currently sitting at number five in the Beatport charts, after peaking at the top, Sixma’s remix includes the incredible vocals from Eric Lumiere that made the original special, but injects a new level of big room energy into the track.
Reworking the original chords, and adding a heavy bassline, Mark Sixma has produced one of my favourite remixes of the year and become a name I’ll be sure to keep an eye on.
