Just a few months ago, New York-based producer Andrew Bayer released his album “If It Were You, We’d Never Leave” – a cooled down oasis of trancey/progressive vibes. No doubt a mature listen, the album is a must have for the music library, but also isn’t really known for its bangers. So what’s Bayer up to? It appears he’s doing a few remixes of a few tracks – which is awesome. On the list that we know are coming are well, “Need Your Love”, “England” and his glitch track “Detuned” – which is rather… interesting? But what actually is interesting, is Bayer is doing most of the remixes himself and we can’t wait. Above we have a preview of his own club remix of “Need Your Love” which sounds great – pulling in loads of energy and harnessed by a relaxing motif that just resonates so well. The second track is a remix by Phonat! I haven’t heard that name in forever, but Phonat is f-ing awesome. In case you’re unaware of his earlier works, check out “Love Hits the Fan” and “Set Me Free“, both really funky but cool tracks. But back to the post, Phonat’s remix of “Need Your Love” is classy, tasteful and you guessed it – funky. We love it and feel it’s badass that Bayer brought Phonat on board to do a remix.
