The world’s number 1 DJ Armin van Buuren has a new tune out off his newest album Intense called “This Is What It Feels Like” featuring Trevor Guthrie. The highly anticipated track has been the highlight of ASOT shows across the world and we were able to witness the track firsthand live at ‘A State of Trance 600 in New York’ Madison square garden. Armin’s closed the 18,000 seat venue with the new choon and the results were monumental. The crowd sang along, friends and Trance Families drawn together – but that’s about all we feel about the new tune. It just doesn’t do much else for us.
But later that night in New York, the dutch duo W&W hosted an after party at Best Buy Theater that would change the sound of the track. Packed full of patrons, the crowd expecting the emotional heart-felt track was bombed with a dirty drop. The introduction sounds very similar but what Willem van Hanegem & Ward van der Harst spun – added energy, a club beat and mostly surprise. We’re liking this W&W remix of Armin’s new track big time but check out the original music video too.
