It’s not often that one comes across a good EP everyday. But it’s not that often that ones finds a great EP of new talent in the Progressive Trance scene. That’s where we are today. Twenty year-old British producer and DJ Toby Hedges released “Chasing the Sun” in late November and it is for sure a treat.
The first track on the EP is “Chasing the Sun” which is a great song and has already been featured across the web. The next two tracks are remixes of “Chasing the Sun”. The first mix is by Suspect 44, who’s true identity is still unknown to the public. The mix infuses a progressive-house sound in front of a trance rhythm. The second remix is by 15 year-old Matt Fax from France, who first started producing before DJing for crowds. Fax’s uplifting remix of “Chasing the Sun” leaves you lost in a state of mind of relaxation. The last track on the EP is my favorite “Square One”. Reminiscent of Swiss producer Dinka, the track enters with soft bass-line that transforms the sound into a progressive uplifting melody. A must check out. Happy Friday Kids.
