Despite the fact that Halo 4 has nothing to do with trance music, the original soundtrack from the video game is now the best selling video game soundtrack ever released. On top of that, back in October an official contest to remix the songs was created. Participants were given samples from three tracks from the album: “Awakening”, “To Galaxy”, and “Revival”, and were asked to send in their remixes. The entries of the contest were to be judged by the soundtrack composer Neil Davidge, the Halo 4 audio director Sotaro Tojima and producers Caspa and Sander van Doorn. On December 4th the contest winners were released and some of the winning contestants names are quite familiar. Congrats to the winners.
